Legal Counsel to Alimak Group

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our head office in central Stockholm. This is an opportunity for individuals seeking to work with a market-leading company on various legal matters within an international environment.

About the role

As Legal Counsel at Alimak Group you will provide support and advice on a wide range of legal matters. You will handle legal tasks at Group level in areas such as company law, stock exchange law and contract law. You will also work closely with the business, in particular the Industrial and Construction Divisions, and provide support in negotiations of customer and distributor agreements and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the contract management processes.

Your role will entail staying updated with current legal trends and regulations to ensure that Alimak Group remains compliant and ahead of any potential legal challenges. You will draft, review, and manage legal documents and contracts, providing clear and actionable legal insights. By fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will help mitigate risks and contribute in driving strategic business initiatives forward.

Additionally, you will play a key role in training and educating the various teams on legal best practices and new legislation. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a straightforward manner is essential in promoting a culture of legal awareness and risk management within the company. This position is located at our headquarters in Stockholm, you will report to our Head of Group Tax and Legal.

About you

The suitable candidate has a law degree and at least 8 years´ experience working as an in-house legal counsel or in a law firm. You have experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and it is beneficial if you have previously worked in an international context. To fit the role, it is important that you can work independently, have an interest in developing and improving tools and processes, and possess a curiosity to learn new things. Further, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. French is a plus.
